A while ago - well, several years, as it happens - I was passed a typed copy of The History of the Biology Department by Brian Gardiner. I ocr’d the text to get it into electronic form, and then thought I’d get some pictures etc. to illustrate what was 15 pages of A4 text. Since I have singularly failed to do this I’ve decided to just publish the document onto this website.
